Η Ελλάδα έχει εισαγάγει ένα στόλο ταχυδρομικών ρομπότ για να επιταχύνει τις υπηρεσίες της

55 μικρά, τετράτροχα αυτόνομα κινητά ρομπότ έχουν εισαχθεί για να ταξινομούν μέσω ταχυδρομείου στην ταχυδρομική υπηρεσία της Ελλάδας. Σαρώνουν τον ταχυδρομικό κώδικα, ζυγίζουν το πακέτο και, καθοδηγούμενοι από αισθητήρες, το αδειάζουν στους αντίστοιχους σάκους αλληλογραφίας. Τα ρομπότ μπορούν να χειριστούν έως και 168.000 δέματα βάρους έως 15 κιλών την ημέρα και πρέπει να επαναφορτίζονται μόνο κάθε τέσσερις ώρες για 5 λεπτά. Υπάρχει μια νέα προσθήκη στην ταχυδρομική υπηρεσία της Ελλάδας: ένας στόλος κίτρινων ρομπότ που ταξινομούν μέσω ταχυδρομείου. Πενήντα πέντε μικρά, τετράτροχα αυτόνομα κινητά ρομπότ -- ή AMR -- που τροφοδοτούνται από τεχνητή νοημοσύνη, γλιστρούν γύρω από το κέντρο διαλογής των Ελληνικών Ταχυδρομείων στην Αθήνα, επιταχύνοντας μια συχνά επίπονη διαδικασία. Σαρώνουν τον ταχυδρομικό κώδικα, ζυγίζουν το πακέτο και, καθοδηγούμενοι από αισθητήρες, το αδειάζουν στους αντίστοιχους σάκους αλληλογραφίας που έχουν ρυθμιστεί γύρω από μια πλατφόρμα. Τα ρομπότ αποτελούν μέρος του προγράμματος ψηφιακής αναδιάρθρωσης της κρατικής εταιρείας, το οποίο αποσκοπεί στην αντιμετώπιση του αυξανόμενου αριθμού δεμάτων από ηλεκτρονικές αγορές κατά τη διάρκεια της πανδημίας του κορονοϊού. Μέχρι και το 80% της διαλογής δεμάτων έχει παραδοθεί στα ρομπότ και ο Κωνσταντόπουλος ανέφερε ότι η διαδικασία ήταν έως και τρεις φορές ταχύτερη, εξασφαλίζοντας παράδοση την επόμενη μέρα. Τα ρομπότ μπορούν να χειριστούν έως και 168.000 δέματα βάρους έως 15 κιλών την ημέρα και πρέπει να επαναφορτίζονται μόνο κάθε τέσσερις ώρες για 5 λεπτά. "Σκοπός δεν είναι να αντικαταστήσουμε τους ανθρώπους εργάτες με ρομπότ, αλλά να ενώσουμε το ανθρώπινο εργατικό δυναμικό και να τους καταστήσουμε πιο αποτελεσματικούς", ανέφερε ο Κωνσταντόπουλος.
